Professor interested is to understand the main pathogenetic drivers of type 2 diabetes by disentangling the heterogeneity of the disease. He is especially focusing on the bioinformatic exploitation of a large set of phenotypes, such as clinical variables, laboratory values and genetic data to understand causes of beta cell dysfunction. He participates in the design, coordination and realization of multiple clinical studies and work as a consultant endocrinologist in patient care.
